Sam Cappellanti

Sam Cappellanti leads much of Meridian Research Group’s domestic public policy work, with particular emphasis on healthcare, tech, and tax/fiscal issues.

Over the course of his 15+ year career, Sam has served in various senior-level government relations and policy research roles. Before joining Meridian in 2016, Sam was a lobbyist with Chamber Hill Strategies, representing hospitals, providers, and pharmaceutical companies before Congress, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Previously, he advised private equity clients on behalf of Marwood Group and was a policy/economics researcher with the American Action Forum (AAF). Prior to his time in Washington, Sam represented a portfolio of corporate and trade association clients on policy matters before the Virginia General Assembly.

Sam Cappellanti has a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law and a B.A. from Randolph-Macon College.
