Nick founded and manages the risk arbitrage advisory practice at Meridian Research Group.

Since 2006, Nick has advised merger arbitrage and event-driven investment specialists on mergers and acquisitions and special situations. Nick helps clients understand the antitrust risks of mergers through a blend of detailed legal analysis and industry research. The Meridian risk arbitrage practice has developed a methodology that has successfully forecasted the outcomes of antitrust merger investigations and litigations.

Prior to joining Meridian, Nick was the senior analyst at Rock Creek Partners, a boutique antitrust law firm that advised institutional investors on mergers and acquisitions, hostile transactions, special situations and distressed opportunities. Before his time with Rock Creek, Nick managed the merger arbitrage advisory practice at Cypress Group, where he also produced research on legislative and public policy issues affecting investment manager’s portfolios.

Nick received his BA from Lewis & Clark College.
