Patrick is a Senior Policy Analyst at Meridian Research Group, covering foreign affairs, defense, and trade/sanctions policy.

Prior to joining Meridian, Patrick was a journalist at CQ Roll Call (CQRC) where he covered defense and foreign policy developments on Capitol Hill and in the Pentagon for CQRC’s website, magazine and print newspaper. In addition to covering legislation and regulations, Patrick also covered Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings and the House’s impeachment and the Senate’s acquittal of former President Trump. Patrick is an alumnus of the Alexander Hamilton Society’s Security and Strategy Seminar where he focused on U.S. strategic competition with Russia and Iran.

Patrick holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois and an M.A. in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced and International Studies.
